Hi, I’m Natalie!

A bit about my background:

I graduated from The Ohio State University and began my career at a small CPA firm right out of college. Over the next five years, I gained hands-on experience in bookkeeping, financial reporting, payroll, and tax, and discovered a genuine passion for this work, which ultimately led me to earn my CPA license in early 2025.

Along the way, I also learned what didn’t sit right with me about traditional accounting firms. Being in the office five days a week (and six during tax season), commuting daily, and relying on paper-heavy processes felt inefficient and outdated. Watching clients pick up stacks of paperwork that often went unread made me question why accounting hadn’t evolved with the way we actually work today.

That’s what inspired me to start my own practice.

I believe accounting can be done thoughtfully and effectively in a fully digital space when strong systems and processes are in place. Modern technology allows us to work more efficiently, communicate clearly, and focus on what really matters: the numbers and what they mean for your business. I value building real relationships with my clients, and I believe those connections can be just as strong through thoughtful communication, whether that’s by computer or phone. My goal is to be your virtual accounting partner - someone you can lean on whenever questions come up.

Now, a little more about me outside of the numbers.

I live in Ohio and genuinely enjoy experiencing all four seasons.

I’m married and have two dogs who are truly my best buds.

When I’m not working, I love creating - sewing, baking and cooking, and photography are some of my favorite ways to unwind.

I’m also deeply interested in wellness and non-toxic living, a journey I’ve been on for the past few years that’s taught me how meaningful small, intentional choices can be.

I chose the name Rooted Number Co. because it reflects both my love of plants and my belief that every number tells a story - each one rooted in something meaningful.
